A Different Standard

A Different Standard

What we choose, why we choose it, and exactly what that means for you.

The First Question Is Never "How Does It Look?"

The First Question Is Never "How Does It Look?"

Before we consider a piece for Lumistelle, we read the material composition. Not after. Not as an afterthought. First.

Our standard is simple: Every piece must be made from natural or semi-natural fiber - cotton, rayon, viscose, linen, modal, or similar. If a piece doesn't meet that threshold, we don't look further. It doesn't matter how beautiful it photographs.

What that means for you: what touches your skin across the Lumistelle catalog is predominantly natural fiber. Check the tag on anything you receive from us. It will confirm what we're telling you here.

Most fashion brands don't set a material floor. We set ours before we open the first image.

Every Piece Was Looked At. By a Person. With a Point of View

Every Piece Was Looked At. By a Person. With a Point of View

Once a piece passes the material standard, the real evaluation begins.

We assess visual construction - how the piece is cut, how it drapes, how it photographs across multiple angles and on different body types. We read customer feedback from verified purchasers. We look at supplier quality ratings. We evaluate whether the design has staying power or whether it's chasing a trend that'll look dated in six months.

Most of what we see doesn't make it. The catalog you're browsing is what survived that process - not everything that was available, but everything that met the standard.

Curation is an editorial act. You can feel the difference between a store that selects and a store that imports. We select.

Size Charts Are Guesses. We Give You Numbers.

Size Charts Are Guesses. We Give You Numbers.

very product page on Lumistelle includes actual garment measurements - not a generic size guide that maps a number to a vague range.

We show you how wide the chest is. How long the inseam runs. Where the hem falls. The measurements are of the garment itself, not an approximation of who might fit into it.

Here's how to use them: measure a piece you already own and love. Compare those numbers to ours. Order accordingly. No guessing, no hoping, no ordering two sizes to figure it out.

This exists because the single biggest hesitation in online fashion is not knowing if something will actually fit. We'd rather give you the information to be certain than the vague reassurance that it probably will.

We Stand Behind Every Piece. Specifically.

We Stand Behind Every Piece. Specifically.

Our return policy has two tiers because we think a one-size-fits-all policy doesn't actually serve anyone well.

Days 1–7: Full refund to your original payment method. We send a prepaid return label. No questions, no friction, no restocking fee. You decide it's not right, we make it right.

Days 8–30: You keep the item. We issue full store credit to your account the same day you contact us - no waiting, and it never expires. All we ask is a photo of the item.

The keep-the-item mechanic isn't an accident. It's a deliberate choice. A returned item costs everyone - shipping, processing, time. Store credit costs us less and gives you more flexibility. It's a better outcome for both sides, and we'd rather structure the policy around that reality than pretend it doesn't exist.

One policy applies to every piece in the catalog. No fine print carve-outs beyond final-sale items listed at the time of purchase.

We Source. We Select. We Stand Behind It.

We Source. We Select. We Stand Behind It.

Lumistelle doesn't manufacture clothing. We work with an established network of suppliers and source pieces that meet our standards from that network. We don't hold warehouse inventory - each piece ships directly to you from the source.

This model is what allows us to offer a 1,000+ piece catalog across dresses, tops, bottoms, and outerwear without the overhead of a traditional retail operation - and to pass that efficiency along in the form of pricing that reflects the actual quality of what you're buying, not the cost of a brick-and-mortar supply chain.

What it means for your order: delivery windows vary by item. Products ship from either a US warehouse (2–6 business days) or an overseas warehouse (7–14 business days). The expected window is shown on every product page before you add anything to your cart.

We're telling you this because we'd rather you understand how your order works before it arrives than be surprised after. That's not a disclaimer. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.

If You Remember Nothing Else

Every piece in this catalog was chosen because it passed a material standard, survived an editorial review, and earned its place. Not because it was available, not because it was cheap, not because an algorithm suggested it.

Real measurements are on every product page. The return policy favors you. Shipping windows are shown before you buy. The price you see is the price — no manufactured discounts, no fake markdowns.

That's what "Chosen Carefully. Worn Confidently." means in practice.
