Material Composition
This short is built on a 95% rayon base with 5% spandex. Rayon is a plant-derived semi-synthetic fiber that breathes and drapes similarly to natural cotton but carries a softer, more fluid quality - it has less stiffness and a lighter weight than a cotton construction at the same percentage. The 5% spandex adds slight give without making the fit stretchy in the conventional sense. The combination produces a short that moves easily through the day without the rigidity of a heavier woven fabric. The denim-wash finish is a surface treatment applied to the rayon - the fabric reads as denim-look but does not carry the structural properties of woven cotton denim.
Construction Details
High-waist cut with a button-and-zip fly closure (image-inferred) and belt loops along the waistband. Five-pocket construction with white fringe trim across both front pockets - the fringe runs the full height of each pocket opening and extends beyond the hem on both sides of the front panel. Heavy distressing runs through the lateral panels, with cat's whisker fading at the front thighs radiating from the rise. The hem is cut raw with fraying along the bottom edge, adding additional visual texture at the hem. The overall silhouette is a straight short cut sitting at the upper thigh.

Care Instructions
Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Cold washing preserves the dye saturation in the light blue wash finish and protects the rayon fibers from heat-related weakening. Low-heat drying reduces the risk of shrinkage - rayon is more susceptible to shrinkage than cotton under high heat, so low or no-heat drying will extend the life of the garment.
