These shorts are made from a blend of 95% rayon and 5% polyester. Rayon is a semi-synthetic cellulose fiber that drapes more softly and weighs less than cotton denim; the denim-wash finish is a surface treatment that gives the fabric its blue, faded appearance without the weight or rigidity of woven cotton denim. The 5% polyester adds minimal structural durability to the weave without contributing stretch. Neither fiber provides inherent stretch - the shorts are cut with no stretch content, and the waistband holds its shape accordingly.

Intentional distressing appears across the front body of the shorts - visible rips and abrasion in a pattern that reads deliberately styled.
