Material Composition
90% cotton, 10% linen. The blend is predominantly cotton, which gives the dress its softness and straightforward washability. The linen component adds a slight texture to the surface and improves the fabric's ability to release heat in warm conditions - linen is notably breathable and wicks moisture away from the body. Together, the blend results in a fabric that feels natural and relaxed, with more structure than a pure cotton at the same weight. Both fibers are natural and will soften with repeated washing.
Construction Details
Spaghetti straps attach to a smocked bodice, with a front-tie detail at the center bust where the straps meet; the tie adjusts the neckline depth. The smocking runs through the bodice, creating an elasticized fit zone that adjusts to the wearer. The skirt is built in four tiers of increasing width, each separated by a horizontal lace-trim band; the lace bands are applied as decorative trim at each tier seam. The silhouette widens through the tiers into a full A-line at the midi hem. Partially lined in the bodice and upper skirt for coverage. No stretch in the skirt fabric - the smocked bodice provides all fit adjustment.

Care Instructions
Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Cold washing protects the lace trim bands and prevents the cotton from shrinking, which could distort the tier seams. Low-heat drying is sufficient for the blend and helps maintain the smocking elasticity over time.
