The 2% spandex adds enough flexibility to make a high-rise waist comfortable through the day without the fabric stretching out of shape. Material Composition

The polyester addition reinforces durability through wash cycles and helps the deep indigo wash resist fading over time. The small spandex fraction adds just enough flexibility to make a high-rise waist comfortable without the fabric stretching out of shape or losing its cut.

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. Cold water preserves the depth of the indigo wash and prevents excessive shrinkage in the cotton content - turning the jeans inside out before washing will help maintain both the wash and the embroidery thread colors over repeated cycles.
