The 15% polyester supports the rib structure, reduces pilling, and helps the garment retain its shape and color through repeated washing. The slight stretch is a property of the ribbed knit construction itself rather than added elastane.

Construction Details

The dress features a mock neck - a high, close-fitting collar that stands away from the throat without folding over, in contrast to a turtleneck. Long sleeves are fitted through the arm and end at the wrist. The body is knitted with a consistent vertical rib pattern throughout. At the waist, a seam joins the fitted bodice to the A-line skirt - the skirt is cut in multiple gored panels that create a full, swinging silhouette from the waist down to a midi hemline. The dress is not lined and has no closures - it is a pullover construction.

Fabric Behavior

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low. The cotton-polyester knit holds its shape and color well with cold wash and low-heat drying. Avoid high heat, which can shrink the cotton content and disturb the rib definition. The fabric will soften incrementally with washing while retaining its structure.
