100% Cotton, constructed in a double-layer gauze weave. Cotton gauze is woven at a looser, more open structure than standard cotton - the result is a fabric that traps air between its layers, making it notably breathable and lightweight in warm weather. The double-layer construction adds opacity without adding weight, which is why this particular gauze dress is fully lined rather than requiring additional underlayers. The texture is slightly crinkled and tactile, and it tends to soften further with washing.
Construction Details
V-neckline trimmed with scalloped lace, with a ladder-stitch lace inset panel running from the neckline down the center front bodice in a V-formation - the lace serves as both decoration and structural detail on the front panel. Button closure runs from the V-neck to the lower bodice. Billowy half-sleeves gather at the cuff with a ruched finish. The skirt drops from the bodice into a tiered ruffle hem, adding movement and volume at the lower hem. Fully lined throughout. Mini length. No stretch.
